Sofia Ivanka: Sofia Ivanka is an active philanthropist who has devoted herself to preparing the future generation. She began tutoring others in math and English. She realized how important it is for kids to understand the basics of math to continue building on those skills. Because of this she wrote two books, “Fourth Grade Math Rules” and “Fifth Grade Math Rules”, both translated into Spanish. Then she wrote a third book, “The Formula of Language”. To help more children globally, she began a nonprofit organization called Building Smart Kids (BSK). BSK supports students in learning mathematics and literature in underprivileged areas. The organization began in Houston and now has gone international, spreading their services to India, Honduras, and Panama. Due to her work, she has received multiple recognitions from the State of Texas and the City of Houston, in addition to awards from organizations like the Ivy Educational and Charitable Foundation. She has also participated in other projects like “The Anthology for Women Leaders” with her chapter on “How to Say ‘NO’”. She has studied in London and Switzerland and now is a Harvard University alum with a BA in Government.
